What is SAMA?
SAMA is a membership-driven organization, representing more than 400 businesses in Transportation, Aerospace Equipment and Metal Products, Diversified Products, Materials & Electricity and the companies supporting them. SAMA is one of the largest and most active manufacturing associations in the state.
The San Antonio Manufacturers Association is the voice of and advocate for the manufacturing industry in the greater San Antonio metropolitan area. On their behalf, SAMA influences public policy and regulatory matters affecting manufacturing and guides the education and training of future generations of manufacturers. SAMA facilitates the sharing of best known practices, workforce development and business opportunities while fostering relationships for the benefit of its members.
What we do
With a legacy of advocacy more than 100 years strong, here’s how SAMA serves our members, our region and our industry:
Proactively participating in local government, monitoring the issues that affect manufacturing in our region. SAMA maintains close contact with elected officials and policymakers so they understand what manufacturers need to thrive.
Promoting manufacturing to the community, presenting today’s advanced, dynamic and growing industry to the public, including students, educators and community leaders.
Staying at the forefront of the economic development issues that affect our industry.
Training Our Workforce
Working toward ensuring a well-trained workforce with the skills necessary to support growth in the region’s manufacturing industry.
Providing a wide range of high-quality educational opportunities to benefit our members and their employees.
Hosting events that inform members on key issues affecting business and creating forums and networking events to build.
Trade Show & Conference
Hosting the annual South Texas Regional Manufacturers Trade Show and Conference. This SAMA event is the largest one-day manufacturing show in South Central Texas, with more than 200 vendors and more than 2,000 participants.
Organizing member-driven committees, which help shape SAMA’s agenda by sharing information, solving problems and informing all members on developments in areas including education, governmental affairs, environmental issues, energy, events and more. Committees are one of the most important benefits of SAMA – we encourage all members to participate in one!
